Diseñar requiere principalmente consideraciones funcionales y estéticas. Esto necesita de numerosas fases de investigación, análisis, modelado, ajustes y adaptaciones previas a la producción definitiva del objeto. Además comprende multitud de disciplinas y oficios dependiendo del objeto a diseñar y de la participación en el proceso de una o varias personas.

Diseño de Interiores – Arte u Oficio

En muchas ocasiones se suele confundir a los diseñadores con los artistas y viceversa, aunque únicamente tienen en común la creatividad. Para poder diferenciarlos es necesario tener en cuenta que un diseñador realiza el diseño en función de un encargo, y ha de pensar tanto en el cliente como en el usuario final, justificando sus propuestas. A diferencia del artista que es más espontáneo y sus acciones pueden no estar justificadas.

Etapas del diseño de interiores.

1.- Observar y analizar: el medio en el cual se desenvuelve el ser humano, el espacio con que se cuenta, observando las actividades realizadas en el lugar, descubriendo alguna necesidad.

2.- Planear y proyectar proponiendo un modo de solucionar esta necesidad, por medio de planos y maquetas, tratando de descubrir la posibilidad y viabilidad de la(s) solución(es).

3.- Construir y ejecutar: llevando a la vida real la idea inicial, por medio de materiales y procesos productivos.

• Definir la distribución del espacio por medio de las masas (muebles,objetos, etc) de acuerdo a los usos y necesidades teniendo siempre presenta la circulación. Una vez que relevas el espacio del que dispones y sus elementos fijos (puertas, ventanas, escaleras, etc) puedes definir tus necesidades respecto del espacio a amueblar y saber exactamente de cuanto dinero dispones para gastar. Con estos datos podrás pensar en los elementos en particular en función a la estancia a decorar (dormitorio, sala, recibidor, etc).
• Elegir el color, este es un elemento fundamental en la decoración. hemos hablado alguna vez de los colores, pero para reforzar podemos decir que los colores cálidos (amarillos, rojos, ocres) son estimulantes y generan sensación de cercanía, mientras que los colores fríos (azules, verdes y violetas) son relajantes y generan sensación de distanciamiento.
• Seleccionar las texturas a utilizar en muebles, superficies y complementos.
• Definir la iluminación. El tipo y cantidad de iluminación que recibe la estancia puede resaltar o atenuar efectos decorativos, cambiando el aspecto y ambientación de un espacio o echándolo a perder la decoración si está mal usada.
• Integrar todos estos principios buscando equilibrio entre las líneas, formas y volúmenes.
